Engine mode button does not update on hot days. (2024)

Last week I was stranded in the center of The Hague.

After a 20-minute ride, I wanted to reset the engine setting to position 1 instead of 2. This all went fine, but a little further along the + button turned out to no longer respond. After some clicking I noticed that the "-" was still working fine, as I had set it from position 1 to 0. I looked at the cabling for a while but it was all fine. Eventually I was able to find a spot in the shade to call ENRA roadside assistance and after about half an hour the button suddenly worked again. A day later I had the same phenomenon, so I'm curious if there are others with an ST2 who experienced the same problems last week?

since yesterday similar problem.

+ button no longer works, and accidentally set it to 0 when I was at the store, I tried to remove the button but it didn't help. With the help of someone I know who lived nearby, I got it back up again with some fiddling, but of course the button is now off. clearly no problem with cable but button. really terribly dangerous; To Stromer in I pushed 'move', but wouldn't stop pushing and just pulled himself further and further into the garage! I stromer back and pull, and ended up holding the ST1 with one arm while it balanced on the rear wheel, as if I was trying to hold on to a prancing horse .
Left with several bruises, only stopped pushing when I forced it off.

very difficult to explain but let's just say that it is not a pleasant experience to try to stop a bicycle that is almost half my own weight! :') Anyway, it is more than 2 years old so it will probably be out of warranty!

If you have tampered with that button yourself, something could of course go wrong...

On the other hand: I find it incomprehensible that Stromer s are not protected against autonomous driving/scootering .

I can imagine that you were completely shocked. It is precisely because of this annoying thing that I would try to appeal for leniency (new button ring).

I don't think the word 'leniency' is appropriate here. According to Dutch law, your dealer / FM must supply you with a decent product. A button button should not be broken within 4 years. So you are entitled to a new one (reasonably with a small additional charge, replacing it completely free would be a good thing).

You have a point there, you are now 0-1 behind.
